DanceWorks - Lia Alu

Passionate and focussed, Lia Alu won a full scholarship to a London Ballet Academy, and has since become famous in her hometown in Italy for her work in TV and film.

Having danced for a Portuguese dance company, her career changed direction after a personal injury and Lia went on to develop Precision Tone. With her knowledge of anatomy, yoga and Pilates incorporated with all she had learnt about dance over the years, Lia devised a class with the precision movement of yoga and Pilates and a dynamic flow that is choreographed: a mat-work version of a dance class.

Tried and tested, Lia offered the course publicly in 1996 and it has gone from strength to strength. The course is designed to improve tone, co-ordination and flexibility. Its success helps those of all ages - her current students’ ages range from between 16 and 74.

Her class is also always evolving as Lia’s students are inspirational to her. Their improvement motivates Lia to continue to help meet their needs through Precision Tone.
