Classical Ballet
 
 
Paul trained with Leo Kersley, The Legat School and The Royal Ballet School Before joining Northern Ballet Theatre in 1984. In 1985 he joined The Royal Ballet of Flanders as a junior soloist and his roles included-works by Balanchine, Kylian and Niels Christie. Roles include- Gamache in Nureyev's Don Quixote, The teacher in Flindt's The Lesson and the Stepmother in Panov's Cinderella.
 
Paul returned to Northern Ballet theatre in 1989 dancing in Gillian Lynne's A Simple Man, creating many roles for Christopher Gable.-Rothbart in Swan Lake, Hilarion In Giselle, Capulet in Romeo and  Juliet, in which he also danced Tybalt and Paris and The Don in Don Quixote By Michel Rahn.
 
Paul joined English National Ballet in 1992 and was quickly promoted to soloist. His repertoire includes Dr Coppelius in Hynd's Coppelia, Savoy Suite dancing with Wayne Sleep, Drosselmeyer in Stephenson's The Nutcracker and created the Arabian pas de deux, Tybalt and Capulet in Nureyev's Romeo and Juliet, He in Macmillan's My Brother my Sisters, The General in Lichine's Graduation Ball and created the roles of Rothbart for Deanes 'Albert Hall ' production of Swan Lake and Capulet for Romeo and Juliet.
 
Since leaving ENB in 1999 Paul retrained as an actor at Drama Studio London and has since appeared as Peter in Dennis Potter’s Blue Remembered Hills, Rochester in Stephen Jefferies The Libertine and narrated Christopher Hampson’s production of A Christmas Carol in the guise of Charles Dickens. Paul remains a regular Guest Character Artist with English National as well as teaching professional open classes in London, for The West London school of Dance, Body Work Dance Company and has also been a guest teacher for English National Ballet, The London School of Contemporary Dance, The Royal Academy of Dance (adult classes), Millenium Dance, Mountview Theatre School and Harlow Ballet School. Currently Paul is also the 2nd year boys teacher at The Central School of Ballet as of September 05.
